I was asked recently where I would live if I could live anywhere. The answer is Tallahassee—it will always be our home. However, if I were to move elsewhere, there are many locations that I would seriously consider. As an expat, you need to look at a lot of different factors including the political environment, transportation and health care access, cost of living, arts and culture, and language. Having lived in several locations around the world, I know that I would enjoy living just about anywhere. Every location has its beauty and challenges. If I packed my bags today and booked a one-way airline ticket, here are my top cities:
• Prague, Czech Republic
• Munich, Germany
• Chang Mai, Thailand
• Vancouver, Canada
• Kyoto, Japan
• Avignon, France
• Amsterdam, The Netherlands
• Como, Italy
I have spent time in each of these cities and know that living in any one of them would be a great experience.
